If you exit through the great doors to the west of the castle building, you will be lead to an open air, stony courtyard that you leads you further still to the sloping lawns of Hogwarts' grounds. The grounds is mainly a vast open space that connects students to the greenhouses, the vegetable patches, the gorundskeeper's hut, the boathouse and adjoining lake, and many other outdoor features attached to the castle, including the boundaries of the Forbidden Forest.

Some might think of the corridors as more of a maze, with the moving staircases helping to confuse and bamboozle students further. Only the most observant of students fully learn their way around Hogwarts castle before seventh year, you can bet your pointy hat on it!

A familiar sight to all of Hogwarts students and staff. The Great Hall is most often filled with four long rows of tables stretching most of the length of the hall, one dedicated to each house. At the far end another long table can be found, with a notable big chair at its centre for the headteacher of the school and several other smaller chairs for the rest of the staff.

Shelves upon shelves of books! There's not a smidgen of information you can't find in Hogwarts library if you know where to look. Just make sure you have the appropriate permission slips signed and talk quietly so as to not disturb the other students.

Deep within the belly of the castle, the damp and dark dungeons can be found. What seems like miles of windowless stony classrooms, storerooms and offices, and perhaps a few other things that are of interest to the most inquisitive and brave (or perhaps stupid) of students.
