We Are Royal is a member-driven Harry Potter roleplay that strives to create an environment rich in character development and community without a restricting plot or binding expectations. While War identifies as a Harry Potter roleplay it is so much more than that, offering a unique experience in the Wizarding World we've all come to know and love. Though canon is acknowledged up to the Battle at Hogwarts not a single canon from the books are currently present, we've simply removed all traces of them in order to provide room for original characters and original canon. You are the main character of your story.
➏ site event: reopening
My overtime should be ending soon and War may return. Keep an eye out. Join the thread in 'Daily Prophet' to talk until the cbox returns, if you'd like. See you soon, Warriors! - Tany

Thread Etiquette
Making threads is easy, but there's always a sort of 'unspoken protocol' on how to go about it on most sites and that's really no different here at War. This thread includes some general expectations on titling, labeling, and completing threads! <3

You can title it anything you want - a song lyric, a quote, a line relevant to the thread, something you've made up on a whim... whatever. Mind, if the thread will include any explicit scenes (whether that be wordy violence, innuendo, or a fade-to-black scenario) please add a [M] at the beginning of the thread title to acknowledge it might be better for a mature audience and to help members avoid it if they wish. It still has to be within JCINK's terms of service, of course.

If the thread is for a specific player, make sure that's acknowledged somewhere in the description or inside the first post to avoid people posting in your thread that aren't supposed to be there! Additionally, if it's an open thread for anyone to join, please make that apparent, too! You never know how many people may overlook your open thread just because they don't know if they can join or not!

Additionally, JCink has a fun beta feature for tagging members that will give them a small alert at the top of the forum! Simply @Name their Warrior Account username (preferably, as most members hover on that account) and it will send them an alert. To tag those with spaces in their name please place their username between the square parenthesis as so: @[Name Here].

Out of character notices and labels in the thread are allowed conditionally. Try not to have a full-fledged OOC conversation beneath your post! You can leave a note explaining you're sorry for the short post or ask a quick question, but if it's something lengthy please take it to PMs! You don't need to specify the date, time, or location of the thread in a note inside the thread, either! The date is unspoken (our fluid calendar time is labelled by OOC seasons, not months or days) and the location of the thread is obvious to where you posted it on the board. This is, of course, not protocol for the Time Turner! Please state when and where those posts are taking place!

Done with a thread? Closing a thread is easy! Please add some sort of closing note in bold, or larger text, somewhere in the very last post you make so a staff member will know to lock it and count it towards points if you plan on redeeming them. Anything from the last person posting tacking on a 'finished' or each individual member adding 'out' at the end of their last post will suffice!
