We Are Royal is a member-driven Harry Potter roleplay that strives to create an environment rich in character development and community without a restricting plot or binding expectations. While War identifies as a Harry Potter roleplay it is so much more than that, offering a unique experience in the Wizarding World we've all come to know and love. Though canon is acknowledged up to the Battle at Hogwarts not a single canon from the books are currently present, we've simply removed all traces of them in order to provide room for original characters and original canon. Theodore sighed, icy eyes narrowing as students scurry by him, attempting to give him a wide, wide berth in the narrow halls. He didn’t understand why Mohs had insisted on getting dinner before having a good night with him. It wasn’t as if this was a long term thing. Just a one-night thing. Whatever. A fuck was a fuck, food or not. Besides, he supposed, it would be nice to get out of the castle for a small bit. Even if the inn down in the village wasn’t the most five-star thing around.

‘This had better be worth it,’ crossed Teddy’s mind, turning down a hall to pause at the bottom of the staircases. His blue eyes wandered the hallway, spotting the group of students coming back in from their weekend Hogsmead trip. Theodore could only thank the gods that the Ancient Runes professor chose an evening outing rather than a lunch… date? Is that what normal people called them? Those people that thought spending six months with the same person was ‘fun’ and ‘exciting’ and then two weeks after that six months, they dump them off a cliff and move on to the next victim within a week.
Oh yeah. Fun.
At least he was an honest man about it – Teddy never promised anything beyond sex. Anything before or after was just coincidence or bribery. What was the point of spending so long, so much time and money with someone who you know you’d want for nothing more than the occasional lay? Why not fuck ‘em for the night, then move on to the next? If the first person wants to bang again, then whoo-hoo. If not, then there wasn’t any time wasted, who cares, you’ve got the next man in your bed. There was no waiting, no spending bribe money constantly for them to ay maybe next time.

Maybe it was because he never really had marriage in the plan. Oh, Theodore knew he would eventually et married. He had to – he was a Cassano, his line had to go on. There would be some poor pureblood hoe that he’d eventually get his hands on, (and dick in), and get pregnant, and marry because he had to. Until then, he was going to enjoy himself.
And tonight, that meant waiting by the double doors for that idiot Aurum to find him so they could get dinner and move on to the more entertaining part of the night.

“Would he hurry the fuck up?” Theodore hissed quietly, watching the stairs impatiently. He fiddled for a moment with his pocket watch, checking the time and tucking it back into his waistcoat, the chain dangling brightly. The man would have fiddled with his tie, had he worn one, instead choosing to retie his scar. Maybe this wasn’t the best idea for tonight…

A light hand pens crimson lettering atop smooth parchment, stopping every so often to circle at an error or underline a specific passage. His body is hunched over a small stack of the papers, squinting against a bright lantern to his right. Seven papers left- just seven more- ugh. Too much. He hatesdetests giving essays; no one ever reads the directions, or cares too much about the small nuances of grammar. It's nearly impossible to get an A on one of these tricky things- honestly, if the kids would even re-read their homework, they would see just how ridiculous some of these phrases actually are.

He glances to the watch wrapped tight around his wrist, and lifts his eyebrows in surprise. Whoops- Cassano is expecting him shortly, and the charms professor is not the type of man to stick around. Mohs toys with the idea of standing the man up, staying in his office to finish his grading, but the prospect of food and alcohol lures him out.

By the time he reaches the bottom of the stairs, he's ten minutes late, and Theodore looks furious.

"Oh come on Teddy." he teases good-naturedly. "I had some last-minute papers to grade. I won't have time to do them in the morning." He shoves his hands into his leather jacket, nodding politely at a pair of students passing by, hurrying off to dinner themselves. "If you're that mad at me, I'll pay for dinner." he compromises, once the girls are out of earshot. A hand stretches to the double doors, gesturing outside.

Icy eyes surveyed the younger male as he – finally – decided to show up. He frowned at the man, looking him up and down and up again, deciding that the Raven had not at all been dressed well enough to excuse the fact that he was ten full minutes late. A full ten minutes! They could already be down at Hogsmead by now if he had at all been on time.
With a mild scowl, Theodore followed Mohs’ sign. He pulled his coat closer to him, making sure that his scarf was properly tied this time, and crossed the threshold with hardly a glance at the other professor. He pushed past the gentle wind, looking out over the warm colours of the grounds. The season was beautiful, the grounds lush and vibrant. Instead of taking it all in with a smile, he turned his impatience on his date. He watched him expectantly, his irritability plain on his face.

“Sure,” he scoffed, once they were outside, away from the prying eyes and ears of the other students. The last thing that Teddy wanted was some fanboy of the younger professor’s to come to his defense as the Charms professor dug rightfully into him. ’Grading’ his fingers made air quotes as they walked down the path towards the village. “Why the hell do you need to grade their papers anyway? It is so bothersome. None of your sniveling brats take your class because they want to. They merely take it because it’s simple. An easier class at higher levels than the others. What are they ever going to use Ancient Runes for in the real world? Fail them all and move on.”

Teddy led the way down the path, but only stayed a few paces in front of Mohs. He couldn’t totally alienate his date. Not if he wanted something to come out of this entire ordeal. Glancing back at the younger male, he could at least appreciate his softer features. Though he didn’t like the outfit he chose to wear, he supposed it fit him more than, say, a sharper suit. It wouldn’t fit him as well as it did Teddy. It wouldn’t look right. Not tonight. Though the idea of Mohs in a suit was intriguing.
“Alright, Aurum,” Theodore spoke, his voice somewhat gentler than before. “You may be the gentleman tonight. Dinner’s on you. I’ll make sure to order the most expensive thing that I could possibly imagine from the menu and find the most expensive room that they offer at the inn.”

With a smirk, the snake straightened himself out, feeling quite a bit better knowing that he would be the one treated tonight instead of the other way around. It had, after all, been quite a long time since he was the who hadn’t bribed his way into someone’s pants. Having someone bribe themselves into your pants was a completely different art form. Not that Teddy hadn’t mastered it, of course. It was just much harder to put into practice than the other.

He fell quiet as their footsteps finally brought them into the village. The Charms master pausing to glance around and situate himself. It had been a while since he had been down here. His eyes fell onto a light post that had begun to glow in the early evening and he hesitated, staring at it until some jostling person came by, pushing him out of the way. Turning away from it, Theodore led them towards a glowing inn. Only a few steps after they had passed the Three Broomsticks did he realize that he wasn’t supposed to be going towards the Hog’s Head, and turn around. He didn’t apologize, simply scowl down at the poor young Raven as if it were his fault.

“Go find a seat,” he ordered motioning Mohs toward the depth of the Three Broomsticks as he, himself, went towards the bar counter. Ordering three drinks, Teddy slammed the first, and brought the other two back to the table with him. Along with the ever helpful pub menu.
“Here we go,” Teddy said, sighing as he sat. “This place is pretty… bright, isn’t it? Is the food any good?”

"Damn Theodore, you dressed sharply. I hope it wasn't for my account." he jabs playfully, resisting the urge to link their arms together- not here, not yet. He can think of more than one student with the ability to spread rumors about them. It was just dinner and some drinks! Nothing too personal, really. Discomfort crawls along Mohs' spine, and he hopes the other professor isn't judging him too harshly.

Twilight hangs heavy in the air, and cool, blue light reflects from the overcast sky; cold like Theodore's heart, apparently. "I can't just abandon my students, you know that." he teases, with a light scowl. "They'll all regret it when finals come and they don't understand a damn thing. Then they'll turn around and start working. It happened last year, and it'll happen this year too. Why don't you just fail all of your students?" he questions, lifting his eyebrows nearly into his hair. True, most students saw him as a hard ass, but his seventh years last year left remembering things from Aurum-the-Hardass.

He sighs, letting Teddy take the lead; best to let him be in charge. Mohs is completely comfortable with following his word tonight. All he wants is some warm food, some bad laughs, and maybe some decent drinks. He's nervous that maybe the other might want more. Discomfort again, grips his form. He's only an inch or so shorter than Theodore, with a little more bulk, but he doubts he could throw the man off if he really tried anything-

No, of course not. This is supposed to be a fun outing, and not something he should fear for. Maybe if his dining companion would loosen up and show him a little affection, he'd calm down. "Of course. I wouldn't imagine starving you." he teases, though seems confused at his comment- so he is expecting something.

The silence between them doesn't feel awkward. There's no need to fill it with uncomfortable talk, and it gives Mohs a moment to relax and enjoy the walk down to the village. Again, his hands slip from his jacket pockets and fiddle with his coat zipper as they walk. Lights rise around them as they slip into Hogsmeade, a relaxed sigh slipping from Mohs' mouth. He stretches a paw out, as Theodore passes. "Okay, yeah I will." he murmurs, separating himself from the man, scouring the place for a decent seat.

Tonight is a quiet night. Only a few couples linger, whispering among themselves. He chooses a table in the back, with a candle alight hovering a few inches above the surface. "Of course it's bright. I want to see your face." He laughs, hand stretching for his drink, taking a deep draw from it.

"So why did you want to come down here anyway? Why not just stay in your office?" he questions, after taking his first drink.
